प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी राष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर की परेड में सम्मिलित होने और उनके संबोधन को सभी समचार पत्रों ने सचित्र प्रकाशित किया है। नवभारत टाइम्स की सुर्खी है- एनसीसी की ट्रेनिंग जिम्मेदारी निभाने में काम आ रही है। राष्ट्रीय सहारा के शब्द हैं-एनसीसी में ज्यादा से ज्यादा बेटियां शामिल हों। दैनिक ट्रिब्यून लिखता है- युवाओं की राष्ट्र प्रथम की सोच बदल सकती है देश का भाग्य। राजस्थान पत्रिका ने हाउ इज द् जोश कैप्शन के साथ प्रधानमंत्री का महिला कैडेट्स के साथ चित्र प्रकाशित किया है। लोकसत्य ने इस खबर को अपनी बैनर हेडलाइन बनाते हुए लिखा है- गर्व है कि मैं भी एनसीसी का एक्टिव मेम्बर था। प्रधानमंत्री ने लोगों से वोकल फॉर लोकल से जुडने की अपील की।
उच्चतम न्यायालय द्वारा महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा से निलंबित किये गये भारतीय जनता पार्टी के विधायकों को राहत दिये जानने की खबर भी लगभग सभी अखबारों की सुर्खी है। जनसत्ता लिखता है- महाराष्ट्र के बारह भाजपा विधायकों का निलंबन रद्द। हरिभूमि के शब्द हैं- एक साल तक निलंबित करने का स्पीकर का फैसला अवैध व मनमाना।

In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 623 candidates are in the fray for the First Phase elections. 58 constituencies spread across 11 districts of Western UP will go to polls in this phase on 10th February. The filing of nominations for the Second Phase ended today (28 January). Scrutiny will be undertaken tomorrow. Last date for withdrawal of names will be 31 January.
In UP, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has released a list of 53 candidates for the 4th phase election. The party has announced its candidates on all nine seats in Lucknow district. It has fielded Anil Pandey from Lucknow Cantt seat, Jagdish Rawat from Malihabad, Mohan Bajpai from Lakhimpur and Meesam Ammar Rizvi from Mahmudabad in Sitapur district.

Samajwadi Party (SP ) has also announced its candidates on eight assembly constituencies. Some of the prominent names include Ambrish Pushkar from Mohanlalganj, Sushila Saroj from Malihabad in Lucknow, Mohd. Hassan Roomi from Kanpur Cantt, Nadira Sultan from Patiyali in Kasganj.
An ally of Samajwadi Party, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has also announced its candidates on three seats. The party has fielded Sunil Arkvanshi from Sandila in Hardoi. With the date of polling drawing closer in Uttar Pradesh, political parties are trying their best to reach out to voters. BJP’s national president JP Nadda campaigned for the party candidate in Shahjahanpur and Faridpur in Bareilly today. He also conducted door-to-door campaigns and addressed the party’s events. CM Yogi Adityanath also held a door-to-door campaign in Meerut and addressed party functions at Hastinapur and Garhmukteshwar in Hapur.
SPChief Akhilesh Yadav and RLDchief Jayant Chaudhary also addressed a joint press conference in Muzaffarnagar. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a virtual interaction with the voters.
In Uttarakhand, Senior BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah visited Rudraprayag today. He campaigned and canvassed for the party by going door-to-door. He also held a virtual meet with constituents of Kedarnath, Karnprayag, Badrinath, Tharali and Srinagar.Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah listed achievements of the BJP Government and asked people to vote to bring BJP back to power. Mr. Shah said that earlier, daughters of the country were not allowed in Sainik schools, it was only after the BJP came to power that doors of Sainik schools were opened for girls. He accused Congress of not doing enough for the poor.
Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh addressing a press conference in state capital Dehradun today, said that the party has done a lot for ex-servicemen of the state and said between 2004 and 2012, Congress Govt increased pensions of ex-servicemen three times.
